Before designing anything, I had to think of what kind of cafe I wanted my project to be. I had to think of how this cafe would stand out amongst other local cafes and how it would stand out amongst the matcha cafes in the NJ/NY area. I had to do some research and development before I thought of the brand.
R&D is almost done! I wanted the cafe to be a third space. It had to be welcoming, and the color palette needed to assist in building that kind of environment. 
I also made up a mascot! I realized that the cafes that I researched did not have this one asset. This was a great way to stand out as it creates memorability and brand recognition.
Once I was satisfied with the foundation of matcha club, I built upon each asset.
